37 Weeks and Counting

Well, here we are...37 weeks into the pregnancy meaning I am officially at term and Jillian could come any day or week.  This is exciting and terrifying all at the same time.  We are pretty much ready but at the same time it seems like there is so much we need to do our rather "should do" to be completely ready.

If one more person begins to tell me that I am "NESTING" I think I am going to go crazy.  I am nowhere near nesting.  I have not cleaned every room in my house, the laundry is not completely all done, the bathroom has not  been scrubbed from top to bottom, my kitchen is in the same boat as the bathroom, I have not completely set up Jillian's stuff, I have not washed her items that need to be washed, and the office/guestroom has gone untouched for weeks and to be honest I have no desire or ambition to get in there and get it done.  On top of all this, I don't even have a bag packed and ready to take to the hospital.  I do believe that I  can honestly say I am not nesting.

With all this said, my house is not trashed, I have always tried to keep my house presentable and I do this by doing a little bit everyday, my routine has not changed at all.

We went to the Doctor today for our 37 week check up and I am dilated to about a 2 and am 50% effaced.  He was pretty impressed.  He said when we go back next week (if we don't have her before then) we can talk about induction.  I am not so sure I want to venture to that route.  He said the earliest he could do it would be the 7th, 8th, or 9th of July and I said there was no way we would do it then because of all the family coming into town for a family reunion.  If we did induce we would have to wait until Monday the 12th which is just 2 days before the due date.  I just assume to let nature run its course and let Jillian get here when she is good and ready.  I asked today about how big he thought she was and he said that she is probably coming up on 7 lbs.  I can totally handle that.  Garon was 9 lbs 8 oz when he was born and I was 9 lbs 6 oz.  If I can get her to be 8 or less I will be ecstatic.

We will be sure to keep you all posted and let you know what is going on.  For now, we are just waiting and taking it easy.

Time Flies

I can't believe how quickly time is going these days.  We are down to five weeks, yes, that is 5 weeks before our due date.  We are getting so excited but I am getting a little anxious at the same time.  I look around my house and start thinking of all the things I "need" to get done before Jillian makes her grand arrival.  Where oh where do I begin.  Over all the house is clean, I just have to keep up the regular regimen.  Jillian's room and the office/guest room need some major TLC though.  My piles have gotten so big that I wish I could pull a Mary Popppins right now and just snap my fingers and everything would go where it should properly be (that is why I haven't tackled it yet, I am not sure where it is all going to go).

Garon is working long hours this week which is good but I miss him when he isn't home at night.  He has been an amazing husband through this entire pregnancy.  This morning he let me sleep in while he played with the kiddos and it was so amazing.

In one month we will have lots of family in town for a family reunion.  It is going to be one crazy, fun, exciting, tiring, enthusiastic time and I can't wait.  We are kind of hoping Jillian will make her appearance either before or after the grand event but I suppose only she knows when that will happen.

Not too much else is going on in our little world.  Just taking life one day at a time.  Garon and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary the other night and we look forward to many more ahead.

Maternity Pictures

Well, I wasn't sure if we were going to do them or not but we did and we are happy about it too.  Garon and I both are not huge fans of taking pictures but we know it needs to be done and we would have regretted not doing them.  His sister took these and did a great job.  Thank you JLT Photography (especially for the drive up to AR).

Hope you enjoy! :)
