It has been so long since I have taken the time to sit, reflect, and write of life for our family. We have been staying busy as ever and enjoying the little break that Garon has from school right now. He has finished up his semester and will start his summer class July 5th so we take what we can get. I say we have been staying busy but I don't have the slightest idea as to what particularly has been keeping us this way. We of course have the normal day to day activities of doing laundry, washing dishes, cleaning house, changing diapers, reading books, sharing giggles, and taking a little nap when our little love bug will allow it.
Jillian is growing so quickly. She is becoming more and more independent but loves to have Mom and Dad around, if she could have it her way we would always be together at all times. It is hard to believe that she is 10 and a half months old already, she eats anything she can get in her mouth, gets off furniture all by herself, likes to help do dishes and loves to pull laundry out of the dryer. Jillian likes to think she is helping you fold clothes (she picks up what you just folded and puts it in a little pile at her level), if you leave the toilet seat open she plays in the water, unrolls the toilet paper, loves taking a bath, and the newest discovery is going SWIMMING! She absolutely loves swimming, we get in the water and she just kicks and kicks. If we aren't careful she tries to jump out of our arms because she just wants to go, we do have a floating thing and she does good in it for a little while but it get old and she wants more freedom. Our little angel is getting so big, she doesn't exactly look like a baby anymore. We still are not sleeping through the night these days and she still has just two teeth but she is growing strong and moving fast. Jillian walks along furniture and crawls very quickly. She will wave her hand and say "Buh", clap her hands, and her cute adorable fish face has turned into her way of blowing kisses. Every once in a while she will try to stand up on her own but she has yet to do it.
All in all time is going by rather quickly and it is hard to believe that she is almost a year old. I do the best and I can and I hope it is enough. I want my little one to know just how much she is loved and how much joy she brings into our home. There are lots of things that just don't get done because I enjoy the time I have to get on the floor and play with my bundle of joy, hearing her laughter and seeing her smile brings so much joy and happiness to my soul.
I need to take just a moment to say just how thankful I am for my family. I have an amazing husband who does all he can to provide and support our family and I am thankful for the education he is getting. My life is truly blessed, and I am so grateful for the love and support I often receive from those around me.
